Ravenna

In the early days of I Sebastiani, it was decided that the troupe needed to be based, fictionally, at least, in a real Italian city. For no particular reason (as far as I can recall), Ravenna was picked. Some minimal research was done, which led to several ensuing decades of swamp/smell jokes.

A few days ago, Project Gutenberg came out with an EBook edition of Ravenna, A Study, by Edward Hutton. It dates from 1913, and appears to cover from roughly Julius Caesar to the Renaissance. If any of the local commedia-ns who read this want some more "local color", feel free to check it out.
