I was thinking particularly about the railway carriage when I called it contemporary. And I meant "contemporary to when it was written". Wonderland today would presumably have (strange dream-like) airplanes and internets. I scored modern reality a 9 because I had given a 10 to Rational!Hogwarts' presumed post-Singularity tech. In hindsight, I'd probably rate Wonderland an 8.
