Last night, [livejournal.com profile] rufinia came over to do latin stuff with [livejournal.com profile] kestrell. Of course, her favorite way of studying latin seems to be to do it in front of Buffy, so we put on some season 6 eps that she had missed the first time around :-)

After she went home, I played a few more hours of Dark Cloud 2. Which I really must write more about, if I get the time... Lost about a half hour of progress due to foolishly not saving before entering a dangerous area. Took that as a good indicator that it was time for bed.

Got up early and skipped breakfast, so that I could go to the clinic and get my cholesterol level tested. I foresee dietary angst in my near future.

But not until after [livejournal.com profile] rickthfightguy's wedding, at least! This morning, I finally (re-)tracked down the last few bits of info I should need to actually get to the right place in time for the ceremony. Tonight, must pack. And unpack. That is, remove anything from my backpack which is extraneous weight, or seems likely to get me in trouble with Homeland Security. I like flying in planes, but I like airports even less these days than formerly...

Cholesterol

I have a book for you to read about cholesterol and heart disease. Don't start any drugs until you research the side effects.

Cynthia's right. And I can help as well....

Probably the most important point to recall, is that high cholesterol is a marker, but not a guarantee. If your numbers are high, and your doctor wants to treat it, see a cardiologist or an endocrinologist first - not all high levels need treatment.

And not all low levels can be ignored. He said, with a sad face of experience

Now, just hold on a minute! First, the primary point of the evening was Buffy. I'm incapable of watching TV without doing something else (It makes me feel like I'm really accomplishing stuff) so I may as well do Latin translations WHILE watching Buffy (Interesting point: My translations got better while watching Buffy. Maybe it's becvause the information ahs had time to stew in my brain, or maybe it's some sort of Buffy-thing... but really, why argue?) And making flashcards requires not kch attention at all. So... nyuh. ;-)
