A New Way to Meet Girls?

My dad gave me a T-shirt a while ago, swag from some trade show, that says on it "WYSIWYG". In the past few weeks two young women have stopped me as I was walking by, asked for an explanation, and seemed to think that the answer was pretty cool. If I wasn't already happily married, I would definitely invest in more shirts with obscure-yet-cool acronyms on them. Perhaps some of my Friends can use this knowledge :-)

I've always heard it pronounced "wizzy-wig". Regional difference?

Yeah, well, people who have cause to pronounce it in the first place are already pretty far on the geekery scale, even before you factor in pronunciation.

True. Of course, I almost never use it for its computer applications. I use it to mean that the miniature toy soldiers I have put on the tabletop are armed and equipped exactly the way they appear to be....
