Remembering Kirk

This article was written several years ago, but remains relevant. It's about Star Trek, but it's more about the process(es) of cultural memory.

This article is one of my favorite things Strange Horizons has ever published, including things I published at Strange Horizons.

I read several pages of the article - thank you. I hope to read more when I have the mental bandwidth.

Thank you for sharing. After watching Strange New Worlds (which we loved), I decided to do a complete rewatch of TOS. It had been decades since I'd seen an episode and never in order. I was surprised at how well some of it held up. I was also surprised at how much I remember and how much I thought I remembered.
