Racoon visitor

Last night, as I approached home (well after dark), a fat raccoon ran across the street in front of me, and proceeded up the front walk into our yard and around the house.

Ballsy creatures aren't they?! Years ago, upon surprising a family of racoon's in the garbage cans, I swear one of them stood up with hands on hips as if to ask "Ok? You done now? Can we get back to it?"

We had a squirrel like that for a while. [livejournal.com profile] kestrell dubbed him Lord of Garbage, since he was acting so haughty. They can chew surprisingly large holes through thick plastic garbage can lids, too.
