Short Takes
The focus testing for FFvt3R on Saturday had pretty much the optimal outcome. Dorian and I got lots of useful data on things to improve/fix, but all the players had a lot of fun anyways. That tells us that we've already reached "good", and have a decent shot at "awesome". Now, busybusybusy implementing improvements.

In other work-related news, a minor PR snafu had the pleasant side-effect of uprading my title. Dorian and I are now both officially "Co-Lead Designers". This doesn't change my duties any, as it's been de facto true for many months, but it's nice to be officially recognized. I'm due for a Performance Review next month, and have high hopes, raise-wise.

pancua, who came over on Sunday and sorted for an hour, getting over halfway through the pile. Next month, finishing the sorting, and after that, actual cataloging and filing.

Been spending a lot of "spare" time doing research for my presentation atgyzki's History Symposium in January. I'll be talking about the historical roots and literary development of The Matter of France. Only a few of the books are small enough to be easily portable, however. So I've got one in the kitchen, for reading at mealtimes, one in my room, for reading before bed, and one that I carry around and read on the T. The three books span four centuries, are radically different in style, but feature many of the same characters. Sometimes my head feels like it's going to explode! But the cross-reference-y parts of my brain are having a field day :-)
