[Apologies for those of you who see this multiple times.]
Not quite ten years ago, we put on a very silly play here in Carolingia called "The Knight of the Burning Pestle". It was a great success.
The performance was filmed by two cameras, and I had ambitions at the time of editing it together into a polished movie and making it available. Sadly, video editing equipment of that era was both expensive and hard to use. Since then, we've gone through enough technology generations that video editing is something I can do at home, though it's still not exactly *easy*. I started about nine months ago, and have now finally got finished DVDs of the play available for sale!
It's a 2-disc set (because home burners can't actually fit 2+ hours on one disc) in a plain, but durable DVD case. They're in DVD-R format, which should work in most players (your money back if they don't). I've included two subtitle tracks, one with the dialogue, and one with Director's Commentary (Couldn't fit a second audio track, so kept it to text.) Other Special Features include the original Program, and one Deleted Scene.
I'm asking $20 per copy, generally speaking.
If you're feeling poor, but you really want a copy, talk to me, and we'll probably work something out.
Contrariwise, if you're feeling rich, and want to feel like a Patron of an not-quite-starving-yet-but-seriously-in-debt-and-unemployed artist, please, give me more!
I'll take cash, checks, or paypal, but have no ability to take direct credit card payments.
I expect to be at dance practice next week, and fairly regularly once it starts up again in January. I hope to be at the ball this Saturday. I'll be at Great Council, and at Buttery New Years. If you expect to buy a DVD from me at one of these venues, please email me ahead of time, so I have some idea how many to bring.
If you're not going to be anywhere that I'm going to be anytime soon, I'll happily mail you a copy. If you were to throw in an extra $5 for postage and standing-in-line-at-the-PO hassle, that would be cool.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me.
