Dance practice was fun last night. Almost all of my favorite people-who-come-to-dance-practice were there. I got to interact at least a bit with all of them, and a lot with some. Various people have recently been hooked on the Vorkosigan books, so that was a frequent topic of discussion (along with the usual books, comics, movies, games, and, last but certainly not least, sex). I loaned [livejournal.com profile] jducouer another one of Kes' audiobooks, after receiving one back from him (she's very protective of her Miles books).

I actually even danced for about an hour total, at the beginning and end of practice. I came back in a bit late for Jenny Pluck Pears, but half participated anyway, by joining in with the males-walking-around-flirting figure. For both sets :-)

On the down side, while going to the bathroom, the "I [heart] my geek" shirt, that [livejournal.com profile] kestrell had given me for Valentine's, mysteriously developed a huge rip. Luckily, it was below the belt line, so I didn't have to walk around looking like a bum for the rest of the night. Still annoying. I have an email into thinkgeek.com, asking about replacement policiies.

At one point [livejournal.com profile] juldea was having a semi-encrypted conversation with [livejournal.com profile] learnedax about sexual practices, and kept mentioning a long string of numbers that started 3,4,1. It curiously reminded me of Italian Ren dance formulae: "5,1,5,1,3, with singles after the ones" :-)

I had a fair amont of good talking-time with [livejournal.com profile] learnedax myself, during intervals when one or both of us weren't being distracted by Fabulous Babes(tm). It's kind of odd to have a good friend who is 15 years younger than me. Guess I'm getting old. Beats the alternative, tho'.

Ran into Daniel briefly on the T on the way home. Well, actually, on my way *off* the T. We had both had our noses in books the whole trip, and hadn't seen each other till then!

This morning, I received a copy of the script to _Noises Off_ in the mail. [livejournal.com profile] kestrell said that I shouldn't give it to her until she's finished some more papers for school, so I get to read it first. Also, just before work, I ran out to the downtown Borders and snagged their last copy of _Sethra Lavode_. I am replete with reading goodness!

[livejournal.com profile] jducouer recently started a religion discussion in his LJ. It occurs to me that I have more Friends now than I did a few months back, and not all of them may have seen my two-part discussion of my own religion. So, if you're interested, follow the links. If you have a comment, it's probably best put in this thread, rather than one of the old ones.
