Had a sick day yesterday, some sort of fever. Luckily, it broke in time to attend the celebratory dinner for kestrell. She got a Student Leadership Award from UMass Boston. Dinner wasn't bad, though I mostly read during the speechifying. The award consisted of dinner, a certificate, an engraved paperweight, and getting her name included in a truly silly "Ode to Student Leaders" by an aging english prof who was utterly shameless about the contortions he had to go through to rhyme various people's names :-)

Taking a bit to do LJ stuff while waiting for my apparently-obsolete video card to take several minutes to load up a level. Aparently, min-spec is 128 MB these days. It seems like such a short time ago that I splurged on an outrageously overpowered 8 MB card...
