Finding Jasper
Dec. 16th, 2004 02:28 pmMonday morning, I went to Downtown Crossing before work to do some errands. While picking up some fast food at Wendy's, I heard somebody call my name. Turns out to have been Paul Myers, who, lo these many years ago, played Jasper in the production of The Knight of the Burning Pestle that I directed. He never really "played SCA" besides that event, so I'd lost touch with him, and hadn't been able to get him the DVD. I quickly told him about said DVD, and got contact information out of him.
That night, I packed a copy of the DVD into my bag, with the intent of mailing it. But when I got to work, it occurred to me that I should really bring it by the post office instead, on Wednesday morning. On myway home Teusday night, however, imagine my surprise when I saw Paul *again*, coming out of the Broadway T stop! I don't see him for years, then run into him on two successive days! At any rate, I handed off the DVD then and there, since he was clearly destined to have it :-) Small world...
