Alexx health update
Nov. 27th, 2019 04:55 pmNo real change in my health in the last three weeks. I still get chest pain from what used to be simple things. Going to the local clinic (5 short blocks away) is an expedition that requires planning and multiple rest breaks.
I’ve been doing a lot less of the household chores, which makes me feel guilty, though I know intellectually that it shouldn’t. Gotten no Artistic productivity in, either.
The Cardiac Stress Test didn’t find anything useful, so no I apparently need a Pharmacologic Nuclear Stress Test. Drugs *and* radioactivity! That hasn’t yet been scheduled, as the insurer requires Prior Authorization. On the one hand, fuck our healthcare system; on the other, it looks like it will be covered, so that’s something.
I am at the point where I could appreciate visitors, albeit only with prior warning, and the usual caveats of “possible last-minute cancellation due to catastrophic spoon failure”.
I could also use some help with grocery shopping. There are two good, cheap stores that are in what used to be easy walking distance for me, and which accepted my Food Stamps card. I can (and do) get groceries delivered, but none of those services accept food stamps, so I don’t want to let the balance on my card go to waste.
