I brush them off carefully during the Phase II sort, but I generally only wash them if I'm going to a big party or somesuch, and I know they will get eaten fast. The water does accelerate their entropy. Oh, and I also wash them if I'm picking them after (or during) significant rain, as they tend to get rather muddy in those conditions.
