Babydolls review
Oct. 28th, 2005 01:33 pmYesterday was
kestrell's and my fourth anniversary. As a date, we went out to dinner at Mary Chung's, and then went to see The Boston Babydolls Halloween show, "Out For Blood". Much fun was had, including seeing about a dozen other Carolingians there.
Best act was definitely Betty Blaze's "It Doesn't Take Two To Tango", in which one of her arms was essentially dressed up as a full-scale devil puppet that she was dancing 'with'. And he was a very *naughty* devil, whose hands kept wandering :-) Second place probably goes to Miss Mina's "Hot on the Trail", a very tease-y piece featuring a standard detective outfit complete with tenchcoat, hat and glasses (and the ever-popular Peter Gunn theme as accompaniment). Best smile award to Baby Jane, who had that perfect blend of innocence and naughtiness.
Honorable mentions to:
Mina and Scratch's "Into the Woods", which made me want to do a Tex Avery wolf-take.
Baby Jane singing "I've Got You Under My Skin".
Morgan's impressive acrobatics in "The Cat's Meow".
All in all, a great show. There was only one act I didn't like at all, and every one else was at least enjoyable, and often Hot Hot Hot. Recommended.
