You might think, knowing me, that the "GT" stood for Grand Theft Auto, or Gran Turismo, or some other video game. No, in this case it's an acronym I picked up from [livejournal.com profile] siderea for "Gifted / Talented".

In this dream, I was a ten year old girl, bright, bookish -- typically proto-fannish. But I was living with a family that was about the size of the Brady Bunch, only significantly less intellectual. They were having a barbecue party, and had invited over all their friends. Worst nightmare I've had in a while...

Talking about it on the way to the T with [livejournal.com profile] kestrell this morning, I came to the conclusion that this is yet another case of me getting nightmares that rightfully belong to her (it having been a fair approximation of her own childhood). Oh well, at least I haven't gotten any of her "unprepared for the final exam panic" nightmares for a while...

I believe there was an episode of Northern Exposure where the townsfolk started having each other's dreams.

Whenever I see "GT", the first translation that pops into my head is "gender transitioning", which is often wildly inappropriate.

...but not necessarily in this case, even if it was just in a dream.

Now for the real question: who is getting my quotient of waking-up-naked-in-public dreams? Why don't I ever have those? And if I didn, how would I know?
