So, I just acquired my very own copy of Betrayal at House on the Hill, a nifty (mstly) cooperative strategy board game with a haunted house theme. I'm eager to play a game, and wondering if there are people interested in coming over on Saturday night, say around 7. If so, please comment.

WARNING: The Ashmont branch of the Red Line is closed this weekend :-( If you want to come via T, plan for extra hassle and walking time dealing with the bus "replacements".

I do like this game an awful lot. Be sure to print out the revised books from the website, and you might want to check out the entry for it at BoardGameGeek (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/10547) to get the full rundown (including a very useful spreadsheet that helps you find the right counters faster). A shame I can't come over and play though. One of the best parts of the game is that it really does feel like a story line, where you discover things around the house, and things start happening over time...

Then again, Bruce Glassco, the game designer, is also a long time larper, and larp writer, so I'm not surprised that he has a good idea of how to make a game with a storyline as well as compelling mechanics.

You said it would take a while, and I ordered it with that expectation: nothing there to be sorry over.

Perhaps I can get folks to play it at teh 21st Century Party...
