This time it's in html, so should be readable by everybody. Comments welcomed. Especially comments of the sort "I know a great venue for getting this published for money". [If I *do* get it published "for real", I'll probably be taking down the web version at least temporarily.]

I read it. Still not sure what to say, other than, "wow".

Damn. *takes off hat*

You know, if nobody wants to publish it in their periodical/book for money, you might take it to the market yourself.

It seems to me that this might be a good candidate for Smashwords ([livejournal.com profile] metahacker?). Send comps to reviewers at/with giant sites (io9, boingboing, themarysue, Wil Wheaton) and cross your fingers.

If you do self-pub, I would suggest that $6 would be an excellent price to put on it.

(This comment inspired by one of the fiction writers on my flist who shoves approximately every completed work of fiction he generates up on Smashwords, and thus has a steady tiny trickle of money coming in every month.)

On further thought, I'd really rather just have this on-line for free, but with a donation button. That said, it's still worth publicizing to the sites you mention. Thanks for the input!

Bah. Wil Wheaton's site is throwing errors at me from every avenue of contact I can find. And, boy, a lot of these other sites make it hard to contact them. Still, half a dozen high-profile sites have now been contacted, and I'll see if any of them bite.

Wow. I had no idea. I wasn't reading enough, of that genre, at that time, that I could have noticed half of that. But even of what I could have noticed, I didn't catch a tenth of that.

Wow. Color me impressed.

FWIW, *I* didn't catch half of it at the time. Lots of research went into this project :-)
