Feeling more awake now

alexxkaySo, last night was actually pretty good, up until the part with the raining on my bed.
Was feeling sleep-depped (from a very late conference call the previous night), but went to dance practice anyways, on account of having said I would bring some audio-books to loan to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
msmemory (via tpau, as it happened). Always happy to help introduce someone (jducouer) to Good Stuff (Lois McMaster Bujold).
Much to my surprise, Erin was there! Was good to see her, as I haven't in ages. I was feeling too zorched to actually dance, so I chatted with Erin and some other folks for a while. Everyone was teasing/enticing Erin that she was out of touch, and clearly needed to get her own LJ :-) Discovered that even Erin's roomate has an LJ (rufinia). She *said* that she had me on her friends list, but she didn't, so today I friended her first :-)
Sawbess briefly. When she and cristovau walked in, I said, "Look, here's some more sleep-depped people." Erin wondered how I knew, at which more "you should be on LJ" teasing ensued. Got a quick hug from Bess, who at least is being sleep-depped for the best of all possible reasons.
I very nearly escaped then, but just thenlearnedax came over and started talking about From Hell, so I was trapped :-) We chatted about Alan, Neil, Dave, Anna Russell, and sundry other topics for about an hour. Eventually, there was a lull in the conversation, and I *did* escape, around 8:30.
Got home early enouh thatkestrell was still awake, and I even had enough energy to read to her for a while (A Civil Campaign, the scene where Aral explains the difference between reputation and honor).
Went to bed at a decently early 10:30, planning to work off some sleep debt... and got dripped on two hours later. Sigh...
