While driving through Boston yesterday, I got to thinking about the possibilities of a "Grand Theft Auto: Beantown". One of its major new features would have to be a large section in the middle of the city that was continually under construction, that every few game days would radically change in topology. Probably set it up on a long cycle, so it would never actually end, just gradually mutate from bridges to tunnels and back to bridges. Every so often, the construction would be improperly blocked off, so you could do insane stunts off the ends of uncompleted bridges and the like. And there would be a strategic element, as well, since you would never be sure that you knew the fastest route through the *current* road configuration.

In other news, I continue to have a cool job. Spent a half hour or so this afternoon recording dynamic speech for both MR. MECHANICAL! and The Bard. Two different flavors of ham :) And I actually get to be a *hero* for the first time ever!

And when the boss comes out, the tunnel starts springing leaks, trapping you in dead-end corridors. As a part of the mission you have to round up the mayor and the head contractor and get them to raise $3bil to fix the tunnel...

No, no, the GTA way is to raise the money by auctioning off pieces of the head contractor's anatomy.
