Expensive, glorious home available

The house next door to us, at 10 Melville Ave, is for sale. It's huge, on a huge (by urban standards) chunk of land. It's a Victorian mansion, lovingly maintained with the exception of some recent water damage. Asking price is under $2 million, but I figure to get it fully repaired you're talking 2.5, maybe 3. More if you also renovate the decrepit carriage house -- but then you have a freakin' carriage house! 9 Bedrooms, so suitable for an extended family or small commune. Oh my that is pretty. I already have a lovely old house I’ve been renovating. Fewer rooms, and no carriage house, but it does have a proper porch and we love it.

Yes, the former home of two members. Since then, it has been owned by the Salvation Army and named "Jubilee House". I think it is sometimes a daycare or orphanage?
