An objectionable word

I read the Boston Metro today, which I don't often do. Today's issue contained a word which I found sufficiently offensive that I wrote a letter to the editor complaining about it. Care to guess what that word was? (I'll post the full letter later today.)
ETA: Seems like this only appeared in the print edition. Will wait until late tonight to post the answer, so people can look on the way home if they want.
